Well, for those of us who made the playoffs…
Two out of my three teams are going today. Not too terrible. It would have been all three if Aaron Rodgers would have gotten ONE LESS POINT against the Ravens.
(By the way, I’m Jen, and I’ll be writing (ranting?) over here from time to time)
I am the defending champion in one of my leagues. This league is like the league of supernerds, and the people I enjoy beating the most. They are a bunch of smack talking jackasses. Also, I am the only girl in that league. One of these guys told me during the draft that I draft like a girl. He is currently in last place.
I had first pick, so that team is stacked. I obviously took AP but I also got Brees. That has been decent for me all season. Undefeated team, pretty consistent, only a couple of weeks of fail. UNTIL LAST NIGHT. What the hell, Drew Brees? Eleven points during the first round of the playoffs? Son of a bitch. I figured that was a no brainer, the Saints were playing December Romo after all. Correct me if I’m wrong, but nobody outside of Texas saw that coming. Maybe Jerry Jones had a talk with the team prior to the game and said, “I built this giant monstrosity, you bitches better beat the Saints so I don’t look like an even crazier asshole.” Whatever, I don’t know, but it may have sounded the death knell for the Craphammers.
So as kickoff arrives today, I wish those of you still in the mix the best of luck. I’m probably screwed, so I hope you still have a chance to advance to the championship game. I will probably be refreshing stat tracker all day long hoping that I can make things happen with my mind.
