Obama is a Bandwagon Saints Fan Too

Obama, who I thought was a Chicago Bears Fan, is apparently hopping on the Saints bandwagon for the Super Bowl.
“You know, I think both teams are terrific,” he said. “I guess I am rooting a little bit for the Saints as the underdog, partly just because when I think about what’s happened in New Orleans over the last several years and how much that team means to them. You know, I’m pretty sympathetic.”
What. Ever. I am so tired of hearing this crap. I’m pretty sure (but correct me if I am wrong) that the people of New Orleans would prefer some more money from the government instead of the President rooting for their team. It is totally the obvious thing to say. Maybe you could say, “I’m pulling for them because they’ve never made it to the Super Bowl before and that would be really cool for the people of New Orleans.” Or “Peyton Manning has become tedious and I’d prefer not to look at him daily for another year,” although I suppose that would be very unbecoming of a President.
This, “the people of wherever need this win” stuff is irritating. I would know, I am a fan of a Detroit team. “The people of Detroit need the Red Wings to win because they have no jobs.” Well, yeah, that would be cool, but what Michiganders really need are employment opportunities. I’d say they need the Lions to win too and you all know how that’s been working out for them.
Personally? I’m pulling for the Colts. The people of Indianapolis really need the Colts to win because their city is far lamer than New Orleans. They are the ones who need an excuse to celebrate.

I was rooting for a University of Alabama championship because the last crystal trophy that the people of Wal-Mart had seen was that time Leroy, the night shift Automotive stockboy, ate 42 Krystals in five minutes.
I'm rooting for New Orleans because the people of New Orleans have been overshadowed by those whiny Haitians. Where's THEIR mosquito nets, huh?!
Time to have an quick Mardi Gras located in Miami. The colts perhaps have the experience, however the Saints possess a better offense than anything the colts have experienced in a very long time. The Saints defense has simultaneously picked it up a step. Manning is a really fantastic quarterback but even he is often flustered when you get to him frequently enough. I can not wait to see New Orleans with a Lombardi Trophy!
I can’t wait to watch this game! The saints should really have the capacity to score a lot of points on the colts. New Orleans obviously looks like it’s a team of desitiny. The defense has surely stepped up for the post season. There are certainly not many doubts in regards to the offense. Time to bring the Lombardi Trophy to the Big Easy!
