Favrewatch 2010, that is.

I know people hate this and it’s annoying and all that. But really, I am sort of entertained by it. I go through a blue period after the Super Bowl. Especially when the team I am not cheering for wins. Sure, there is football news in the off season. There is hockey. There is baseball. It is never too early to start planning your strategy for your fantasy draft. The Combine is cool. The draft is soon enough. But Favrewatch begins immediately.

The people of Minnesota are ready too. They are even encouraging it. I am from the upper Midwest and have lived here most of my life. I have never heard anyone say, “You bettcha” except for in the movies. Not even in Minnesota. Ever. Puns and that sort of thing bug the shit out of me so this You Brettcha thing is so extraordinarily lame, I could vomit. I want him to come back too because I love him and he amuses me. I’m sure he will too. Brett Lorenzo Favre will never retire. (Disclosure: I am not making up his middle name. It’s so full of awesome, it reminds me of Mr. Lamas, bad actor extraordinaire).

The best Super Bowl commercial was the Hyundai one. It’s not even fiction, people. This is how it’s really going down:
