A lot of people are surprised, but I’m not. Earlier this season, he was released from Team Venture who won the championship game, so perhaps I am ahead of the curve. Darren Sproles was the man. Yeah, he is a little on the small side and may not be the droid the Chargers are looking for, but whatever. LaDainian is probably past his prime. Maybe he and the Chargers are no longer the right fit for each other. You’re not a number 1 running back anymore, buddy. It’s not like you won’t land on your feet, dude. And the Chargers save the $2 million bonus they were going to have to pay you. Everybody wins!

Okay, I (and the Chargers) may be jumping the gun here. This is a guy who has had consistent 1000+ yard seasons up until this year. Hence, every team in the league is dreaming of snagging him. Particularly my friends who are Lions fans. They could really use him. But he wants to go to a winner – a team with a good QB – and really, who can blame him? Who wants to go to a loser?

I suck at predictions and I am a homer. The Packers have Ryan Grant. But really, that’s it. They also have a great QB in Aaron Rodgers. I could dig LaDainian in the Green and Gold. However, ten bucks he ends up in Minnesota and becomes the bane of my existence.

Look, I am sad too. LaDainian has always had some sick moves. Maybe it was just an off year. I won’t draft him, he will tear it up next season, and I and the Chargers will look like total dumbasses.

Or maybe you are Shaun Alexander, pal. Time will tell. I wish you the best of luck.
